Gift Suggestions for Baby

A lot of people have been asking us what we need for the baby. The big important stuff is mostly under control, but we do have a few suggestions for people. There are some big things which we don't expect anyone to buy us on their own, but if you want to get together in a group, that's great too!

• Diapers - We're using Motherease Sandy's diapers - we have enough for the first while, but we'll eventually need to have larger diapers when the baby gets bigger. We'd like to have about two dozen Large size Sandy's diapers, and four Medium/Large and four Large Air Flow covers. These can all purchased individually (so don't feel the need to buy all two dozen!).
• Receiving blankets and burp cloths - You can never have enough of these, right?
• Sleepers and Diaper Shirts- We'll likely have a good number of 0-3 month sized clothes as we'll need them right away, but we could probably use a few things in larger sizes. Keep in mind that 0-6 month sized clothes will likely be used in winter, 6-12 month sized clothes will be used in summer. We can also use little outfits in any size as we don't have many of those yet.
• Fitted crib sheets - We have a standard sized crib. We would like to use white or pale green sheets (to match our nursery).
• Umbrella Stroller - We have a larger one for bigger trips, but it would be nice to have a small one for short errands as well.
• High chair - We'd prefer a wooden chair to match our dining room - either an older one in good condition or something like this.
• Nursing support pillow - Needs to be fairly firm to support the baby and keep Tamara from developing a hunchback.
• Bottles - Need about half a dozen bottles.
• Baby bathtub
• Hooded towels or soft infant-sized towels
• Infant Swing
• Books - We would love to start building a collection of good kids' books... any age is just great!
• Toys - We didn't buy many because people love to buy toys for kids. ;)
• Gift certificates for Sears, Toys R Us, or kid's clothing stores.
• RESP Contributions
